Funding and Capacity Building
One of the objectives for The Lambeth Children’s Fund (LCF) is to support and build the capacity of agencies funded by LCF, so that the management structure (particularly the smaller groups) are strengthened. This will also help to improve the adaptability of our smaller delivery agents enabling them to more effectively participate in the wider commissioning processes as Children’s Fund Projects get mainstreamed.
How will this be done?
The Lambeth Children’s Fund Project Development Officer will be planning work with Sam Agabe from CEMVO to identify areas of development pertinent to groups on a case-by-case basis.
9 key areas of work have been identified
- Constitution – legal requirements;
- Governance- Trustees etc.
- Management – Systems/structures/time management etc
- Business Planning
- Finance – Ensuring there are adequate systems to manage public funds
- Funding/fundraising
- Communications & Marketing
- Networking & Collaboration- partnerships
- ITC
The Project Development Officer will also support all organisations funded through the Lambeth Children's Fund (LCF) with issues concerning capacity building, funding, partnership working and to strengthen the links between LCF’s priority schools and service providers.
